The $100,000 Challenge began today as Event #8 of the 2010 Aussie Millions. Obviously with the buy-in set at $100K the field was expected to be relatively small with no amateurs in the mix. The field started out with 24 players, but the field has already been chopped down to 8 remaining players. The players still alive consists of (from 1st to 8th) Jonathan Karamalikis, Dan Shak, Barry Greenstein, Phil Ivey, Tony Bloom, Tony G, Bill Jordanou, and the ‘Professor’ Howard Lederer. Only 5 places pay in this tournament with a whopping a $1.2 million AUD headed to the winner.
