The CEREUS Poker Network, a combination of Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker, wrap up the $1K week with Wednesday’s $150K Guaranteed. With a solid $238,000 in the prize pool 238 players hit the felt for their shot to earn an annual salary in one night. The results show that ’CHICAGOCARDS1’ and ’JOHNNYBELOW’ were the top 2 finishers in the tournament as it appears a deal took place. First place was $61,880 and second place was only a mere $36,890 (little sarcasm), so both players walked with healthy victory Wednesday night. If you want your shot at this type of money it’s time to get ‘cereus’ about your poker game. |

Event #4 from the 2010 Crown Aussie Millions is in the books and a familiar face walks away the champion. Annette ‘Annette_15’ Obrestad, a player who won a small tournament without looking at her cards, ships the $1,100 Pot Limit Omaha event for a cool $40,000. Though it’s no surprise that she has the ability to accomplish such a feat it’s still an impressive victory nonetheless. Obrestad outlasted the likes of Billy Seri, Ryan Gutch, Oliver Gill, and Con Angelaski just to name a few. The $1,650 No Limit Hold’em Bounty Event #5 is under way so stay with Poker777 for more updates on the 2010 Crown Aussie Millions. |

The $1K events roll on as the weekly PokerStars ‘Super Tuesday took form last night. PokerStars saw 363 players hit the felt for their shot at the lion’s share of the $363,000.00 prize pool. The player who outlasted the competition for that ‘lion’s share’ was ‘kalixalven’ (Stockholm) who walked away the Super Tuesday winner and the winner of $70,000. Kalixalven went heads up against ‘hanitz’ (Nordfjordeid) before taking home the gold, but hanitz still walked away from the table with a healthy $52,000. That’ll help pay the bills. The $1K action continues tonight over on Absolute Poker as the $150K Guarantee is set to take place. |

With event #3 coming to a conclusion it didn’t take long for event #4 to hit the final table. Simon Morris, the chip leader entering day 2, went on to ship the $1,100 Limit Hold’em event #3. Morris went through a field of 90 players to claim the Aussie title and he put $25,650 in his pocket. That being said it’s almost time to ‘crown’ another winner in the land down under. Event #4 hit the final table as Oliver Gill is leading the way with a healthy chip lead, but don’t count out Con Angelakis as he his hot on Gill’s tracks. Make sure to check back with Poker777 for up to date news and information. |
