As the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure was getting set for day 1B, PokerStars made an exciting announcement for all poker players. The 2010 PCA is actually the first stop in the newest poker tour that is ready to take over North America. The North America Poker Tour, introduced and sponsored by PokerStars, will make its next stop in Las Vegas as the NAPT invades the Venetian. The main event will be a deep stack tournament set with a $5,000 buy-in. As a resident of the North American land it’s great to see major events head our way (aside from the WSOP). PokerStars are currently running satellites so saddle up and get ready for the ride. |

Who said taking a bad beat can’t be rewarding? By playing on Ultimate Bet’s cash tables players have the opportunity of earning some serious money while taking a bad beat. Just ask ‘TOMWINS’. TOMWINS hit the bad beat jackpot on Tuesday, and was rewarded $58,235.57 in the process. 25% of the total jackpot rolls over to the next jackpot, and an additional 10% goes to the Ultimate Bet. Of the remaining 65% the player who receives the bad beat is rewarded 50% of the remaining prize pool. 25% goes to the winner of the hand (after delivering the beat?), and $1,000 is shipped to every other player sitting at the table. So when you play Ultimate Bet maybe you should start rooting for the bad beats to come your way. It just might pay off. |

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas comes to a close as over 600 players hit the felt. The player that walked away in first place after day 1A goes by the name of Wayne Bentley. Bentley finished the day with a commanding lead. Also in the running are poker pros Daniel Negreanu, Dennis Phillips, Barry Greenstein, and Eric Froehlich. Though it’s obvious player don’t like to bust any tournament they play in, it’s tough to feel sorry for them when they are still lounging in the Bahamas. Day 1B kicks off today as players fight to stay alive to see day 2. Stay with Poker777 for more news and information. |
