Wednesday means that the Aboslute Poker $150K guarantee took place, and the $1,000 buy-in brought in 148 hungry poker players. The $150K guarantee wraps up the $1,000 tournaments for the week; the other consist of Full Tilt’s $1K Monday and PokerStars Super Tuesday. ‘AIRKID3’ ended up shipping the event which landed him a first place prize of a cool $39,750.00. By now odds are that poker players from around the world are aware of the PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge. PokerStars is now giving their players the opportunity to take on the contestants, celebrities, and the poker pros that will be featured in the tournament. The prize for the bounties will vary. The PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge turns a well deserved man into a millionaire. Detective Sergeant Mike Kosowski, one of the first responders to the World Trade Center attacks, wins $1,000,000 by defeating Daniel Negreanu. Kosowski first won a sit n go which consisted of previous winners Father Andrew Trapp, Iraq war veteran Denny Luna, and liquor salesman Brian Baboz. Kosowski was fortunate enough to win the sit n go then proceeded to defeat Negreanu in a heads up bout. A big well deserved congratulations goes out to Mike Kosowski on his victory. |

PartyPoker is kicking off the new year by giving their players a chance to earn some extra cash. From January 4-31 PartyPoker players will have the opportunity to exchange their Party Points in for money.
