Since the recent $3.2 million beat down Hastings gave Isildur1; it's quite obvious why we haven't saw Isildur1 at the poker table. Let me say that again. $3.2 MILLION. So what to do when Isildur1 isn't around to spread the pot-limit Omaha love? The answer is 7 Game. High stakes professionals including Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen, 'Ziigmund' Sahamies, Brian Townsend, John Juanda, and a few others sat down for some high stakes 7 game. The winner on the night was Patrik Antonius as he walked away from the table up over $500k. Which meant someone had to lose. The biggest loser (no pun intended) of the night was Matt Hawrilenko who dropped over $400k. Though Isildur1 wasn't involved, high stakes is always worth watching.

PokerStars is introducing their brand new 'Team Pro Tuesdays'. A day in which you have the opportunity to watch or compete against your favorite PokerStars pros. 'Team Pro' Tuesdays' will feature two tournaments called 'Outlast the Pro'. 'Outlast the Pro' will be an $11 buy-in in your ultimate goal will obviously be to outlast the pros within said tournament. If and when every pro is eliminated from the tournament then a prize of $1,000 (courtesy of PokerStars) will be distributed amongst the remaining players. For instance if you were to go heads up with a PokerStars pro and win the tournament; you would be rewarded an extra $1,000 on top of your tournament earnings. In the effort to spread the love, PokerStars is hosting a $5.50 satellite tournament in which the top 2 finishers will receive the ultimate vacation package. The package includes a flight to the Bahamas, a four night stay at the Atlantis Resort & Casino, and of course the entry into the $5,000 buy-in charity event. Jennifer Tilly, the actress turn poker player, will hosts the 2nd annual charity tournament to help raise money for a ‘Cerebral Palsy’ cure. The event for the ’One Step Closer Foundation’ is set for Saturday, December 12th, and will be a $550 tournament with $200 re-buys. Everybody who’s everybody is supposed to be in attendance. People in the likes of Dean Cain, Shannon Elizabeth, Montel Williams, Simpsons creator Sam Simon (last year’s winner), Playboy Playmates Stacy Fusion, Jennifer Leigh, and Brande Roderick (there are too many celebrities to mention). Jamie Gold, Barry Greenstein, and Phil Laak (Tilly’s boyfriend) are a few of the professional poker plays that will be in attendance. Hopefully we will be ‘one step closer’ to curing Cerebral Palsy.

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure will host a charity poker event to help raise money for AIDS research. PCA will host a $5,250 no limit Hold’em event to raise money for amfAR, the AIDS research fountain, which will run on January 8th, 2010. Half the money from the prize pool will go to amfAR, and PokerStars is going to pay that same amount out of their own pocket. Big names are expected to show up for the event, and all the players in the tournament are encouraged to donate their winnings to the amfAR foundation. It’s always great to see the game of poker and the poker players give back in a big way.
