The PokerStars.net European Poker Tour in Prague has come to an end, and local Jan Skampa walks with the first place prize of 682,000. Along with his big payday, Skampa also won a seat to the European Poker Tour Grand Final and of course the coveted trophy. Skampa was the first player to make back to back EPT finals table since Season 1. Ram Vaswani and Julian Thew were the other two to do so. It was a tough field for Skampa which cultivated in a heads up victory against Eyal Avitan. Avitan had the chip lead when the two began heads up play, but it was Skampa who walked away the first place victory. |

Earlier, I was playing some poker on Full Tilt, and just happened to notice that Isildur1 was battling it out with Ziigmund. Sadly, I wish I was playing the stakes that these two phenoms were playing, but it was defiantly worth watching. Isildur1 and Ziigmund were four tabling there usual $500/$1,000 pot limit Omaha. Isildur1 had things going his way, because he walked with nearly a $1.8 million victory (which makes me rather sick). The railbirds were chatting away about his massive up swing, and obviously most of them were bagging for a little piece of the pie. You never know what you’ll get when Isildur1 is playing at the tables. |

William Hill doesn’t have the well known as Full Tilt, or PokerStars but they want their ‘Poker News’ fans to know who they are. If you are a member of Poker News, then you will be able to participate in one of the four freerolls that the William Hill Poker Club is putting on. William Hill will be putting up $10,000 in freeroll cash, so if we were to do simple math that would mean each freeroll is worth $2,500. The dates for the freerolls are December 7th, December 27th, January 6th, and January 24th. For more information on the freerolls visit WilliamHillPoker.com. |

The PokerStars.net Million Dollar Challenge is adding some new faces to the ‘roster’ this week, and I for one am looking forward to it. Super-model Joanna Krupa, and this year’s World Series of Poker main event champion, Joe Cada, will be added to the festivities. Krupa will join as a teammate to Tito Ortiz as they try to defend against the contestants. While Joe Cada will try to keep contestants from getting their shot to play heads up against ‘Kid Poker’, Daniel Negreanu. Although Cada is the main event champion, I have a feeling all eyes will be on super-model Joanna Krupa. |
