And he finished the tournament in 2nd place. ’Dapalma150’ finished 2nd in the PokerStars Sunday Million where he earned a hefty prize of $206,512.78. He was able to do so, because a deal was made when there were three players remaining. Dapalma150, hassan77, and moorzer all made the deal then proceeded to play it out for the remaining $30,000. Full Tilt Poker introduces the ‘Big Little Tournament’, perhaps a spin off to the movie ‘Little Big League’ (though odds point to no). The Big Little Tournaments are set to take place in January, where a combined $1,000,000 in prize money will be up for grabs. The Big Little Tournament will come in four different tournaments, and they’ll be on the first four Sundays in January. Each tournament will have a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000, and players will happy to hear that the entry fee is only $5+.50. And if that isn’t good enough, players can satellite into the tournaments for as low as $0.50. |

If you are unfamiliar, “Face the Ace” is an NBC program in which average Joes like me and you have an opportunity at big time cash. The contestant must defeat professionals in heads up play in order to win the money. That’s exactly what Brian Twitty did. Brian Twitty, a real estate appraiser, defeated Jennifer Harman on his was to a $40,000 payday. Enough money to make the holidays a little more merry. Twitty did have the option of forgoing the $40,000, and play another pro for a shot at $200,000. He respectively declined the offer, and went home with a cool $40K. |
