FTOPS once again proves to be an online poker series to be reckoned with another successful round of tournaments. We saw Mueller host and win his own limit hold’em event as David Pham was the victor to the $500+35 HORSE event. ‘Obiedman’ was the lucky individual to walk away with a victory in the $2,500 2 day event as he went through 938 players to claim the first place prize of $539,350. Though the buy-in of the 2 day event is $2,500 the FTOPS main event was the event with the largest prize pool. ‘Zhivago2’ closed out FTOPS with the main event win and a first place prize of $467,770.50. Stay tuned for Full Tilt’s MiniFTOPS coming in December. |

The World Series of Poker main event champion has been crowned as Joe Cada walks away with the bracelet and $8.5 meeeeeeelon (million for the meeeeeeelon impaired). Cada becomes the youngest main event champion ever at the age of 21 defeating last year’s champion Peter Eastgate. Cada went through a field of over 6,500 competitors and then proceeded to knock off Darvin Moon in heads up play to claim the title. Cada defeated Moon when his pocket nines held up against Moon’s QJ suited. A big congratulation goes to Mr. Joe Cada as he just accomplished every poker players dream, winning the WSOP Main Event. |

With over 3 months of waiting and weekend play in the books the Main Event is down to only two competitors. The showdown for the coveted bracelet and the jaw-dropping $8.5 million will be between Darvin Moon and Joe Cada. Darvin came into the final table holding a hefty chip lead but it was Cada who surpassed Moon for the chip lead as we come to heads up play. Cada will enter Monday’s matchup with a chip stack of 136,925,000 and Moon will sit with 58,875,000. Cada has a solid chip lead but chip leads don’t mean a whole lot when it comes to poker. |
