The PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour started Day 1b as players once again hit the felt in Sidney. A total of 109 players showed for day 1b, and it didn’t take long for players to find out who they would be chasing. That player goes by the name of Leo Boxell. Boxell ended the day with 148,000 in chips as he mowed down the competition. Boxell isn’t exactly a household name around the world, but he has a familiar face when it comes to Aussie tournaments. Day 1c is set to kick off on Thursday, and day 1c is expected to have more entrants than the previous days. |

The past couple of weeks has been a wild ride for Isildur1, the unknown Swede, as he just recently took another $1.6 million hit. Once again Isildur1 sat down to play Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies, and Sahamies ended up taking the biggest pot the two have ever had. The $708,000 pot was shipped to Sahamies as Isildur1 bluffed the majority of his stack away with a measly pair of threes; to bad for him Sahamies was waiting with his king high flush. Isildur1 hit another rough patch when he sat down to play Brian Townsend. Townsend took $215,000 off Isildur1 in one hand as Isildur1’s wrap couldn’t connect to knock off Townsend’s aces. More information to come on the Isildur1 roller coaster. |

The online poker room that was just named the EGR’s Poker Operator of the Year sends 96 of their players to the 2010 Aussie Millions. Party Poker’s November ‘Gladiator Promotion’ gave players the opportunity to win a $10,500 (AUD) seat into the upcoming Aussie Millions. In order to win a seat players had to earn 1,000 point every day for the entire month of November. 96 of the players who tried to complete this mission were successful in the process. Party Poker didn’t forget about the people that fell short of this goal. Some players were entered into a $5,000 freeroll and others earned cash prizes that earned them up to $3,000. |
