Big poker scam reports recently hit the US headlines as a group of scammers emptied the pockets or a wealthy businessman by luring him into a game of poker where they boosted his confidence first by letting him win big several times in a row and once he was off his mind enough to promise covering any potential losses by a cheque immediately drawn at the nearby bank he instantly lost $9,000 in a couple of hands that followed. If it weren’t for police warnings he found in the news a couple of days later, he would never have become suspicious. However, just trying to identify his poker host’s identity, which was non-existing, was an evidence sufficient enough for him to see that he fell victim to a group of grafters who’ve been operating across the US since 2003, able to make thousands of dollars several times a day. Police are investigating the matter.
