A new and unusual, however, quite logical bond has been formed between the academic and the gambling sector in Singapore when the Regulatory Authority of Singapore (CRA) agreed on cooperation with the National University of Singapore (NUS), specifically, its departments of Mathematics and Statistics and Applied Probability. The expertise of the university professors and the students will be used to the benefit of regulation of the gambling industry. Research of game technologies will be done along with exploring new ways to keep casino games fair and reliably random. Keeping an eye at the local casinos is also a task far from simple and ways to make this easier need to be developed, too.
