The PokerStars.net Latin American Poker Tour is taking a stop in beautiful Playa Conchal as Day 1 began Thursday afternoon. The day began with 259 poker players ready to play the $2,700 buy-in main event. No player likes to bust to a tournament but these players have the opportunity of relaxing at the Paradisus Playa Conchal resort so it’s hard to feel too sorry for them. At the end of Day 1 Rob Woodcock is holding the chip lead with 147,600 in chips and not too far behind him sitting in second place is Matias Bienen Wald with 124,400 in chips. They’ll try to hold off the rest of the field as play resumes on Friday.
