The World Poker Tour Festa al Lago has found a winner as Tommy Vedes walks away with the WPT title. Vedes outlasted the 275 player field and went on to claim the first place prize of $1,218,225 (ooooooouch Charlie). Vedes earned the victory after defeating Jason Lavallee in heads up play. Vedes recently came off a deep run in the 2009 World Series of Poker main event where he finished 19th. Finishing 19th in the biggest tournament in the world is quite a feat in itself but adding a World Poker Tournament championship to the resume is tough to beat. Touché Mr. Tommy Vedes, Touché.
